The Ting Tings – Hands Mp3
Music — By Andrew Evans on 21/08/10Well, The Ting Tings are back and, be honest, did you miss them? Hmmmm. But what of their comeback? Ushered in by ethereal synths and a stabbing keyboard part, the opening 25 seconds of Hands could pretty much be any pop release of the last 18-months. And Katie White’s first wise words to us after over a year out of the spotlight?
“I want to play the piano with two hands.” Yes, quite.
We certainly aren’t in “I think therefore I am” territory here are we.
However, it would be unfair to expect dark-hearted introspection from a group whose 2008 debut ‘We Started Nothing‘ – which has sold a staggering four million copies worldwide – was put together using nothing but primary colours. Throwaway pop is what The Ting Tings push. Still, to me it all sounds rather….lifeless. As far as comeback singles go, shouldn’t it be better?
Be your own judge and let me know what you think.

This is generic and mediocre at best. Sounds more like a weak album track than a come back….
Couldn’t agree more. I was prepared to be one won over but no…. Shame
