Alabama Shakes are on the cusp of releasing their rather good debut album, Boys & Girls.
To celebrate this they have released upon the internet this, a fabulous live take of the brilliant Hold On, one of the strongest songs on the record.
As you’d imagine it is Brittany Howard’s powerful vocals that are front and centre here, showcasing one mightily powerful soul-rock croon. That she looks like a nursery school teacher makes it all the special.
