Listen: Passion Pit – Take A Walk
Listen — By Andrew Evans on 07/05/12
Passion Pit’s debut album, Manners, was a treat. We liked it so much we named it as one of the best albums of 2009.
Well, now they are back with new single ‘Take A Walk’, which is taken from their upcoming second album, Gossamer, due out in July.
A hook-laden stomper, it sees Passion Pit continue down the dreamy disco pop of Manners, but sees singer Michael Angelakosa draw away from his trademark falsetto.
We’re excited.

Has anyone commented on “Take A Walk” ‘s lyrics yet? They tell a really haunting story of a life in what could be considered current times. “Honey it’s this loan I think I borrowed just to much. We had taxes we had bills. We had a lifestyle of fun. But I swear tonight I’ll come home. And we’ll make love like we’re young.” Not the kind of depth I’d expect from a band more focused on the arrangement of sound. Just brilliant.
I featured the song on a recent post…. http://icanseebetterthroughthefog.wordpress.com/2012/05/18/take-a-walk/
