Ohio quintet The Lighthouse And The Whaler caught our attention at the end of last year with the release of their brilliant Pioneers EP, which, through stuffing each of its three songs with corking pop melodies and shimmering instrumentation moved the group on from their folkier beginnings.

Good news then, as the group have confirmed that September will see the release of their new album, This Is An Adventure, and from it we get a brand new track, ‘Venice’.

Following on from where Pioneers left off and proud owner of a riff not too dissimilar to Coldplay’s ‘Strawberry Swing’ in it’s horizontal, laid-back nature, its got us very much looking forward to the album.
