We got a lot of love for Zulu Winter here at WTGR. Last month we decided their debut album, Language, was “every bit a polite an album as you’d expect from five chaps from Oxfordshire to be; there are no rough edges or political agendas in sight. You don’t however need 20/20 to see that this is a collection of quite terrific songs.”
Their mix of delicate keyboards and shimmying bass suggestss a group pulling away from the standard white boys with guitars mould, which the group confirmed in an interview with us: “saying you’re a guitar band sounds like dogma and I don’t think we want to be held to it…”
