California Wives are readying their upcoming debut album, Art History before its early September release and, if what we’ve heard of it so far is anything to go by it’s sure to be a belter.

We’ve already given you ‘Marianne‘, “four minutes of surging 16 beats and chiming guitars. And hooks.” and now comes ‘Purple’, a gorgeous slice of melancholic indie-pop that both shimmers and glimmers.

Art History was produced by Claudius Mittendorfer, known for his work with Interpol, Neon Indian and Wild Nothing.
