‘Locked Out’, the first song to be released from Freelance Whales’ upcoming second album, was a harder nut to crack than much of their breakthrough record Weathervanes.

The first proper single, ‘Spitting Image’, while still a grower, retains a fraction more of the wide-eyed wonder that we love them for. This is, an absolutle pop nugget led by Doris Cellar, the oft-backing vocalist. She sounds great.

We’re very excited about the release of Diluvia, which is due out in October through Mom + Pop.
