Listen: The xx – Sunset

The xx’s second album Coexist is only a few weeks away, which means it’s about time they drip-fed us another little slice of it. You know, incase we weren’t already excited enough.

We’ve already heard ‘Chained’, and ‘Angels’, and ‘Sunset’ isn’t a huge departure from either of those tracks or the generally accepted xx template either. But rarely does a band seem so sure of what it is their songs should sound like without ever dropping the standard below jaw dropping.

Coexist is shaping up to be one of the albums of the year.
