The Joy Formidable look to continue their steady rise with the release of their second album, due early next year. To wet the appetite they’ve released first single Cholla a full five months ahead of its release. Yup, five months.

Luckily, it’s pretty rad.

As is expected it mixes big, chunky guitars with Ritzy Bryan’s spiky-yet-smooth vocals and a stuttering, shuffling musical backing.

It received its first play by Zane Lowe earlier this week, with the DJ labelling it his ‘hottest record in the world right now’.
