2013 is already shaping up to be a very good year for Miles Kane. Not only will it see him release the follow-up to 2011’s Colour of the Trap, he has also bagged himself a spot on the NME Awards Tour.
‘Give Up’ is the first single from Kane’s new record, with fans having to make do last year with just an EP to his name, the Skream produced First of My Kind.
And what a return it is. It’s huge, glam, camp and brilliant.
Of the track, Kane said: “I wanted the energy and positivity that I’ve felt in the past 18 months to be reflected on the new album – to make it upbeat and uplifting, and to me that’s exactly what ‘Give Up’ does. It doesn’t mess around.”
The track was co-written with Kid Harpoon and produced by The Lightning Seeds’ Ian Broudie.
