Hudson Mohawke has been a pretty busy man over the last few months. Whether he’s producing records for the likes of Kanye West and Azealia Banks, bringing Trap to the masses with TNGHT, or making sushi infinitely cooler with his solo work, he remains to be Scotland’s most in demand producer at the moment (sorry Calvin Harris).
When Disclosure released “White Noise”, their collaboration with AlunaGeorge last month, we described it as “Nothing short of brilliant”, and it has since reached number two in the UK singles chart, becoming the duo’s most successful track yet. Earlier tonight Mohawke premiered his remix of the track on Radio 1, and it sure doesn’t disappoint.
Keeping the core elements of the original intact, Mohawke has given the track a more ghettoised edge with staggered synths and that huge stuttered beat that has come to define his sound. We thought this song couldn’t get any bigger, but as always the Scottish producer has blown us away. Check out the track below:
