There may not be too many blogs out there that count a melody reminiscent on Len’s one-hit-wonder ‘Steal My Sunshine’ as a massive plus point. But we do.
Oh golly we do.
That’s because ‘Blonde’ – the new single from Northen Ireland foursome Wonder Villains – has that unescapable summer vibe. The bounce, the optimism. It is the younger, Bacardi Breezer swilling younger sister of the afformentioned Len track.
The Derry group’s debut album is being prepped for an early summer release.

Nice to see Wonder Villains getting a mention here. Surprised that so many bloggers think this sounds like Steal My Sunshine, I hadn’t made the connection myself.
Cheers Christopher. There are just one or two lines of melody that are very similar. As soon as I heard it I thought ‘that sounds familiar’ but it took a while to realise what it was.
