We’re not really ones for posting grainy fan-footage of gigs. But THIS. This is something else entirely.
The Britpop fallout between Blur and Oasis has been well documented and famously came to a head when Noel Gallagher said he would like Damon Albarn to “get AIDS and die”. That the two would ever share a stage seemed, not just unlikely, but damn near impossible.
However, over the last few years the tensions seemed to be easing, with both parties admitting regret over the whole affair. The reconciliation was completed this week when the two performed the classic Blur track ‘Tender’ together at The Royal Albert Hall as part of a series of gigs Gallagher put on in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust.
The quality isn’t great, but even so, it’s one hell of a moment. Listen and watch below.
